📝 Step-by-Step Guide to Self Slot Selection for SSC CHSL Tier-I 2025
The Staff Selection Commission has introduced the “Self-Slot Selection” facility to provide convenience to the candidates. It is mandatory for all applicants to exercise this option within the stipulated timeframe.
How to Choose Your Exam City, Date, and Shift:
- Visit the Official SSC Portal: Go to the Staff Selection Commission’s official candidate login portal.
- Log In: Use your Registration Number/User ID and Password to log in to the candidate dashboard.
- Navigate to My Application: After successful login, select the ‘My Application’ section.
- Click on Slot Selection Link: A section displaying your application status will appear. Look for the button/link titled ‘Select City, Exam Date, Shift’ and click on it.
- Read Instructions: General Instructions will appear on your screen. Read them carefully and then proceed.
- Select Your Preferred Date: Choose a suitable date of examination and click on ‘Get Slot Details’.
- View Available Slots: The system will display the three cities you had opted for during your application. You will see the availability of slots in various shifts for those cities.
- Available Slot: If a slot is available on the chosen date and shift, the ‘Select’ symbol will appear in Green colour.
- Not Available Slot: If the slot is not available, you will see ‘Not Available’ written. You must choose a different date or city.
- Final Selection & Validation:
- Select your preferred shift in your chosen city and date. The selected shift will be highlighted in Green.
- Click on ‘Validate & Submit’.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number or email ID. Enter the OTP to finalize your choice.
- Print Confirmation: Once validated and submitted, take a printout of the confirmation page for your record.
Important Points to Note:
- Deadline is Strict: The facility is live from October 22 to October 28, 2025, 11:00 PM. No requests will be entertained after the deadline.
- Mandatory Step: If a candidate fails to exercise the slot selection option within the prescribed time limit, the system will automatically allocate an available slot in any of the cities opted or as per availability. The Commission’s decision on automatic allocation is final.
- No Changes Allowed: Once the choice is validated and submitted, no requests for change in exam city, date, or shift will be entertained under any circumstances.
- City Intimation Slip: The “City – Live” detail, which confirms the allotted City/Date and Slot, will be activated on Monday, 3rd November 2025.
- Admit Card: You will be able to download your official Admit Card 3-4 days prior to your allotted exam date.
